The bad news is it’s been a couple of months since I’ve posted new news on the site, but the good news is, LOTS of amazing stuff is happening!
Last week we got word that THE FISHERMAN, a short film which I co-directed, co-wrote, co-produced with Adrian Contreras of Madero, Mexico, and starred in with Eduardo Azuri, had become official selections at BOTH the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase, & the Austin Revolution Film Festival!!! This is huge news for everyone involved, and we are excited for audiences to see our work!
What makes this film so special is that it was a bridge project for Adrian and myself. Filming half in Mexico, and half in Oklahoma, USA. With so much turmoil in the world, we wanted to build something positive between cultures.
THE FISHERMAN will WORLD PREMIERE at the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase next week on July 25th! If you’re in the area, I encourage you to get a day pass or a VIP pass and watch our film, and all the other amazing films that will be screening next week!
Next, we will have our AUSTIN PREMIERE at the Austin Revolution Film Festival, September 3-7! ARFF as it is endearingly called, had about 3,000 submissions this year, so it is quite the honor to be selected!
We are looking forward to seeing what people think of the film, and look forward to sharing more in the future!
THE FISHMAN logline:
After his mother’s death, James travels to Mexico in search of the father he’s never known, armed only with his father’s last known whereabouts and his mother’s ring.
Until next time, Vale
